Free Christmas Printables

image and beautiful tag via LindseyBee
Originally, I had wanted to create and share a free Christmas printable for my readers, but this year, that's not an option. I came up with the next best solution: a collection of free printables that I've stumbled across. After scouring the internet for a few free printables, I've come across several beautiful options. I thought that I'd share them here with you, to save you a little bit of time, since we know it's a precious commodity at this time of year (can't believe that Christmas is less than 10 days away!). I hope that you find something suitable for your needs - some of the wall art would make a beautiful Christmas present, too, all wrapped up in a pretty frame. Let me know if you discover anything else!

A Touch of Christmas

Whew! It's winter out there. We've had heavy snowfall for about 24 hours, so our little home is nestled in quite nicely. There's a Christmas playlist playing on Songza, bacon in the oven, and I'm making breakfast - egg and bacon mcmuffins and blueberry smoothies. I baked banana pecan muffins last night, and if you know me, there's a never-ending supply of orange juice in the refrigerator. Come on over! I love a good Saturday morning in. We have some errands to run this afternoon, so I'm soaking up every cozy minute that is spent indoors this morning.

I put a few Christmas decorations out to get me in the spirit. Now that I'm finished school for the semester (YIPPEE!), I'll have time to do a little more. Most of the things that I put out so far are neutral or nature-based, so I think I'll keep with that theme this year. I ran around this morning with my cellphone and took a few shots to give you a peek into our holiday home.

I bought this cute little house candleholder at Winners with a gift card

Pretty birdies from my parents for my birthday this year

A new garland from Michael's, and candles from the dollar store

All of these decorations are from previous years - the white trees are from Wicker Emporium last year

I leave this twiggy wreath up year-round, but stuck a little birdie on it

My precious string of laser-cut snowflakes - delicate little buggers!

My secret Santa classmate gave me the snowflake stickers so I stuck them on the hallway mirror

How have you been adding holiday cheer to your home this year? Do share - I'd love to hear some fresh ideas!

Happy Saturday!

Little Lentil : 19 Weeks

Today's my last day of classes! Woohoo! I can't wait to relax for three straight weeks, I've been counting the days for a while now. It's been a high-stress level couple of weeks and I'm so thankful to be finally finished for Christmas. Here's an update on my little bean's progress.

Week: Nineteen! Crazy talk.

What's going on inside: The baby's senses are exploding! They are now learning to smell, taste, hear, as well as developing vision and touch. Their hair on their head is starting to grow, too. Their arms and legs are in proportion to their body now.

What's going on outside: My bump is a'growin'. My centre of gravity is shifting, so I'm feeling a little off-balance, and it's a little challenging to get up off of the couch or any other low seating. I'm feeling great!

How big is that lentil? The baby is the size of a mango this week! He/she is about 8.5 ounces and 6 inches long - bulking up! lol

Total weight loss/gain: I haven't gotten on the scale this week, but I imagine that my weight is the same. I'm down 20ish lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.

Food cravings: I have an unquenchable sweet-tooth! Throwing caution to the wind, I had three glasses of chocolate milk yesterday. (I'm lactose-intolerant...) No nasty results, so I can thank the little lentil for keeping my tummy calm even though I filled it with milk. Man, did I enjoy those sips! :)

Best moment this week: Would it be selfish to say today? Being finished school? :)

Happy Thursday!

Little Lentil : 18 Weeks

It's the last final countdown for school before Christmas break, so things are a little hectic lately. I thought I'd pop in (a few days late!) to share my pregnancy update. Here are the facts for this week:

Week: Eighteen - two weeks to halfway!

What's going on inside: The baby is flexing their arms and legs. Their blood vessels are visible through their thin skin, and their ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around their nerves, a process that will continue for a year after they're born. If I'm having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If I'm having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, enough for an ultrasound to show.

What's going on outside: I've been feeling really good lately. In the evenings, my back is really
temperamental - it kinks up and sometimes I need a little help off of the couch, chair or bed. It's not something that I can't deal with, though.

How big is that lentil? The baby is about the size of a sweet potato: almost 6" in length from head to bum. I can't believe that the baby is that large!

Total weight loss/gain: I'm down another couple of pounds. Want to lose weight? Get pregnant, lol. I'm down over twenty pounds, but as long as my ultrasound goes well in two weeks, everything is good.

Food cravings: I've been seriously craving protein, veggies and fresh fruit over the past week. I've been wanting a steak for forever, I think I may have to cave in and buy some or maybe go out for supper... :)

Best moment this week: I'm starting a countdown to our big ultrasound, which is on December 20th. As silly as it sounds, I know that everything will feel more real once I can see the little bean on the screen. Dan booked the time off from work, so he'll get to come with me and we can have a nice little afternoon date. :)

Happy Friday!
