Mmm, Mmm Good.
It's recipe time!
Have you ever looked all over for a new recipe, only to come up with one on your own instead? I made a delicious slow-cooked pork roast this week. I found some inspiration on Tasty Kitchen, and went to town, making the recipe my own. I hope you love it, too!
Before we get started, first things first: marinate your pork roast over night. I don't care what marinade you use, whatev. It's all about the tender flavour, baby!
Slow Cooker Pork
1 large pork roast, or 2 small
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup molasses
2 tbsp mustard
1/4 tsp all spice
salt & pepper
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Mash the cranberries and mix with orange juice, sugar, molasses, and all of the spices. Remove the roast from the marinade. Place it in the slow cooker and pour sauce over the top. Cook for 3 hours on high, or 6-7 hours on low.
When pork is cooked, remove from slow cooker. Measure 2 cups of the liquid and place in a saucepan. Bring to a low boil, and add your combined cornstarch and water. Stir constantly until thickened. Serve on the side of the roast.
Enjoy - and have a great weekend!
